Trauma Consultation and Training

Trauma Consultation and Training

During the course of the pandemic, Craig has offered training and consultation for numerous arts organizations and museums in NYC on trauma-responsive education practices, in partnership with the Pierre & Tana Matisse Foundation. This included an experiential workshop for teaching artists co-facilitated with Epic Theatre Ensemble. Craig has also served as a content expert offering training for frontline staff working with traumatized children and adolescents through the Institute for Disaster Mental Health at SUNY New Paltz, under the auspices of the Office of Victims Services.

He is the primary consultant for Horizons at Sacred Heart University, where he is developing trauma-responsive education practices for under-resourced students and leading staff support groups.  He also spent time on the Sacred Heart campus this summer leading a seminar on trauma-responsive education for the inaugural cohort of the Doctorate in Educational Leadership, the first program of its kind to focus on social, emotional, and academic leadership.
