Group therapy can provide an opportunity to work on issues that individual treatment sometimes can’t access fully. By virtue of being in a room with others in similar circumstances, group members can gain perspectives and practice skills that can lead to change. I am a Certified Group Psychotherapist, and in 2013 was awarded fellowship by the American Group Psychotherapy Association.
I offer acute crisis intervention groups for organizations, schools, and communities in the aftermath of a traumatic event, as well as support groups for staff members working in challenging institutional settings. I also provide consultation for therapists who are running groups in a variety of settings.
