Training in the Arts & Clinical Practice
Craig is proud to be teaching in the new Post Graduate Certificate Program in Applied Expressive Arts in Counseling at Adelphi University. This 10-month program is a multimodal expressive arts based training that introduces the application of the expressive arts in the counseling process for social workers, psychologists, mental health counselors, substance abuse professionals, marriage and family therapists, and professional counselors, as well as established creative arts therapists. It gathers a host of experienced faculty from across the creative arts therapies, who will expose students to each of the 6 creative arts therapy modalities, as well as considering applications to a range of clinical populations.
Craig will be offering a day-long multimodal training on using the arts in clinical work with children and adolescents, which will consider assessment, case formulation, and maximizing the aesthetic properties of each creative modality to achieve clinical outcomes.
The program is slated to begin in-person training in March at Adelphi’s Garden City campus. Applications are being accepted now.
