AGPA Conference Workshops

Dr. Craig Haen has two upcoming workshops at the American Group Psychotherapy Association’s conference in NYC (March 9-11):

“Waking History: Examining Violence and Betrayal through Greek Drama to Group Psychotherapy” is a co-presentation with Nina Thomas, the co-chair of the advanced specialization in trauma and disaster studies at NYU’s Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and Theater of War, a theater project that uses table readings of Sophocles to engage military and non-military audiences in discussions of issues related to the experiences of soldiers.

“Expanding the Child/Adolescent Group Leader’s Toolbox: Contemporary Approaches to Group Therapy” features three authors from the recent published Handbook of Child and Adolescent Group Therapy, co-edited by Dr. Haen: Sean Grover, LCSW (private practice), Norka Malberg, MS, EdM, MsC, PsyD (Yale Child Study Center), and Jennifer Shaw, PsyD (Gil Institute for Trauma Recovery and Sexual Behavior Problems).
